In 2001, the Frisco 1522 steam locomotive ran through the Midwest and South as
part of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Employee Appreciation Special. The
Special took the 1522 through Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, and back
to Missouri from May 17 - June 11, 2001.
These photos of the 1522 were taken on May 18, 2001, as she departed St. Louis
for Newberg, MO on the first leg of her trip.
